Realityworks is seeking a Human Resources Intern beginning Summer 2021. This part-time, paid intern position is responsible for providing support to the Human Resources Department with a wide range of projects related to recruitment, onboarding/orientation, HR administration, safety, and other HR initiatives. In this position, the intern will apply knowledge and skills acquired in school and apply them in a professional setting.

LENGTH OF INTERNSHIP:This internship will begin summer 2021 and end approximately May 13, 2022, with the possibility of an extension. Work will be 10-20 hours per week during the school year and 32-40 hours per week during the summer between 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Flexible scheduling is available to accommodate class schedules.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides assistance and support with the recruiting process, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting phone interviews, scheduling interviews, and providing applicant correspondence
- Supports the onboarding and new hire process; schedules new employee training; creates new hire packets; conducts general new employee orientations
- Assists with maintaining, updating, and creating job descriptions
- Prepares employee communication materials, such as newsletter articles, flyers, emails, etc.
- Assists with planning and execution of employee engagement, service, and wellness events/activities
- Conducts routine safety inspections and reporting, organizes safety training, and assists with other safety-related activities
- Performs general HR administrative functions (e.g., personnel file management, employment verifications, organizational chart maintenance, etc.)
- Performs other additional duties as assigned or required
